What is Graphic Design?
This question has become increasingly vague as we have advanced with drafting technology over the years. At first a graphic designer would just use his pencil/pen and paper and sketch out ideas from which to execute the project for the client. Now a days it seems the graphic designer has so many new tools, at his disposal it really blurs the line between what a graphic designer is or isn't. An example of this is if a graphic designer drafts a flyer in Photoshop and sends it off to the printing press, is he considered a print designer? then he turns around an designs a website, is he now a web designer? maybe he is both? These questions arise as technology blurs the line between all of the disciplines that exist within design as a whole. We shall see what the future has in store for us designers and how we will adapt with changing technology.
