ShipSim Game

ShipSim is a collaborative game development project between me and the computer science department at Shippensburg University. The intentions of this project is to create a game that teaches incoming college freshman how to be "good students". Essentially it teaches them the do's and don'ts of college life in a virtual environment. Here are some of the early concept pieces for the game.

This game will be an RPG game with many options for the player to take. It should be complete sometime before May 2013. It will be published on a java applet format allowing us to post it online as well as a stand alone executable.

Will "Print" Die?

I was talking do a fellow designer the other day and we were discussing some controversial ideas, mostly about the print design industry. He showed me this video about possible future advances in "touch screen" technology. It makes me wonder if print design will actually have a finite lifespan or if it will endure.

Its a pretty cool video and I'd advise you to check it out. It also opens up the idea that interactive will over take print design in the future. Its really cool and scary to think about but only the future can tell us where print design is really going.
